1. Processing and forming of pick body → brazing carbide head → salt furnace heating → nitrate isothermal quenching → tempering.
2. Processing and forming of pick body → heating in salt furnace → isothermal quenching with nitrate → cleaning → brazing of cemented carbide head → tempering.
The first production process, brazing the cemented carbide head, heating in a salt furnace, and isothermal quenching with nitrate. The hardness of the pick body is guaranteed, but the carbide tip has been heated twice in the process of brazing and nitrate isothermal quenching, which makes the carbide tip brittle and makes the pick in the process of use. The service life of the pick is greatly shortened due to the cracking of the carbide head and the cracking of the welding of the carbide head and the pick body.
The second production process, brazing the carbide head after nitrate isothermal quenching, although the quality of the weld and the quality of the cemented carbide head are guaranteed, the hardness of the head of the pick body is reduced, resulting in the reduction of the pick body The wear resistance of the head is greatly reduced, which makes the carbide head fall off prematurely during the use of the pick, which also shortens the service life of the pick. For this reason, the brazing and heat treatment of the picks are heated at the same time in a vacuum furnace, so that the brazed picks are directly quenched.
The pick technology has the following salient features:
1. The vacuum furnace is used for heating and brazing, which avoids the oxidation of the brazing surface in contact with the air during the brazing process, so that the molten liquid brazing material can be directly contacted with the brazing surface, resulting in wet filling, so as to obtain high-quality brazing. quality.
2. The brazed pick can be directly quenched without air cooling, which avoids the problem of secondary heating and improves the comprehensive mechanical properties of the tooth body. The vacuum brazing process of the pick is: cleaning the part to be welded of the pick body, the brazing filler metal and the carbide tip → drying → filling the solder and carbide tip → loading the pick into the fixture → heating in the furnace → Cool down.
